The ceramic technique of slip casting enables Peter Hoogeboom to replicate the sometimes hundreds of elements he needs to build his pieces with. This makes the small custom made moulds valuable and he has been saving and storing them since 1994.

For this series previously made moulds have been dug up and dusted to reuse them in the replication of entire pieces, this time in new colours and e.g. with a new closure. Also new moulds have been executed for bowls and teapots in a different size, with another glaze and for instance with newly designed handles.

Can these pieces be considered new designs or merely new versions of previous work?
