It is the earth that not only provides us a place to live, but also air to breathe, water to drink and food to eat. Ceramic jewellery is made from the same material that made us: most precious earth.

In -Earthen Adornments- (in Dutch -Sieraarden-, a play on the words for jewellery and earth) Peter Hoogeboom returns to his roots, the Netherlands: low-lying self made lands of clay reclaimed from the sea, lakes and estuaries. This collection is jewellery appropriate for a hard working people of growers, made from the soil they stand in and grow their crops on.
